Syreeta Bailey-Wilson, MFT Intern

Syreeta (she/her) is a black cis-gendered woman. She is a master’s level clinical intern studying marriage and family therapy with a background in mental health case management and service coordination. Syreeta is also a community birthworker and a strong advocate for reproductive justice amongst black and brown folks. She is passionate about providing safe spaces for black and brown girls and queer folks to explore self-identity, self-expression, and sexual identities.

Syreeta enjoys working with individuals and couples to help them develop communication and conflict management skills and better understand their emotions. She utilizes an Emotionally Focused approach to encourage couples and families to build emotional safety and explore attachment needs within their relationship. She is especially drawn to working with people who are experiencing major life changes and adjusting to new roles, like college students, postpartum birthing folks and new parents/caretakers. Syreeta also has an interest in working with those who have been impacted by religious trauma, gender and race-based violence, and challenges within relationships based on gender identity, race, or sexual orientation differences.
