Fee FAQs

  • Individual therapy: $135 per 55 minute session

    Couples/relationship therapy: $160 per 55 minute session

Sliding scale fees: All of our clinicians offer a limited number of sliding scale fee slots in an attempt to make therapy more accessible for folks who have historically been denied access to mental health care. Please inquire about the availability of sliding scale spots in your initial message, as these vary by therapist.

    *Fees increase by $5 annually

  • Some of the therapists at West Philly Therapy Center are “In Network” with Quest Behavioral Health Insurance. No other insurance plans are accepted at this time. If you have access to insurance, you may have what are called “Out of Network" benefits that can help offset the cost of therapy (see next tab for more information).

  • Out of Network benefits mean that instead of paying a co-pay like you would with an in-network provider, you pay the provider’s fee up front after each session. We then generate what’s called a “superbill”, which is a receipt for services rendered, that you are able to submit to your insurance company (typically through a member portal online). Your insurance company may reimburse you a percentage of the amount you paid for therapy. This percentage can range from 10-90% depending on your plan.

The best way to find out about your out of network benefits is to call your insurance plan. The member services number on the back of your insurance card will connect you with a representative that can give you the details of your plan.

    You can ask things like:

-Do I have out of network reimbursement for outpatient mental health services?

    - What percentage will I be reimbursed?

-Do I need to meet a deductible?

    -Are telehealth services eligible?

-How do I submit superbills for reimbursement”

Our Client Care Coordinator will be happy to talk you through this once you reach out if you have any questions.

  • We have sliding scale fees available to those who hold marginalized identities and/or have historically been denied access to mental health care. We also host master’s level interns who see clients for as low as $20. Meet our intern.

If you need a steeper sliding scale than we offer or there are no sliding scale spots available, please visit Open Path Collective or Council for Relationships.

We also accept payment for sessions through the Pennsylvania Victim’s Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP) which gives survivors of sexual assault (in childhood or adulthood) up to $10,000 in funding for therapy. You are not required to have reported the crime.

Please reach out to us with any questions about this and we’d be happy to walk you through the process. Here is the form you would need to fill out to access this funding.
